I am finally using these curls - its funny the curls seem darker and less "gray" but the yarn is looking grayer than that. I guess it is the mix. I am carding the curls and then spinning in the greese (not washing the wool first) and then when i am all done I will wash the yarn slightly to retain the beautiful lanolin. I hope to make a shawl?? Stay tuned...

This is beautiful, I have tried my first hand at lace making late spring. I have some beautiful yarn "in the wings" to make my first lace shawl. I love that you are spinning your own yarn, that is something I would like to do, I will just add it to the never ending list of things I would like to do one day when I have time...
